Role Description

This full-time on-site Accountant role is based in Makati. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording and reconciling transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role includes assisting with audit requirements, tax computations and filings, and compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory standards. The Accountant will collaborate with engagement teams to support client reporting, help improve accounting processes, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation in accounting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
  • Competence in tax and regulatory compliance, including preparation of tax schedules, returns, and documentation to support audits and government filings.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel and other spreadsheet applications), with the ability to analyze data and generate clear reports.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and strong organizational skills for handling multiple engagements and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with partners, colleagues, and clients in a professional manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or eligibility is an advantage.
  • Experience in public practice, audit, or professional services is preferred; exposure to international or cross-border engagements is a plus.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, continuous learning, and openness to using new tools and technologies in accounting work.
