Accountant
Location: Remote — Philippines (collaborating daily with the U.S. team)

Support a growing private equity firm by keeping accounting operations accurate, organized, and moving forward. As an Accountant, you'll assist the Finance, Accounting & Operations team with core accounting functions, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reporting, and QuickBooks bookkeeping. You'll also provide light administrative coordination as part of the role, with training provided for client-specific processes.

What you'll do
- Accounts receivable & billing: Support A/R activities, including portfolio company billing, invoice tracking, payment follow-ups, and accurate recording of receivables.
- Accounts payable & expense support: Assist with A/P processing, vendor payments, invoice review, expense reports, and proper coding of transactions.
- Bookkeeping & close support: Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks, support month-end and quarter-end close, and assist with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and review reports such as balance sheets, income statements, budget vs. actuals, cash forecasts, and other internal reporting materials.
- Fund & compliance support: Assist with quarterly fund reporting schedules, bank compliance reports, borrowing requests, borrowing base calculations, and reconciliation of fund administrator deliverables.
- Investor relations support: Help with investor-related requests, including confirming wire instructions, organizing data, formatting investor communications, and supporting confidential documentation.
- Administrative coordination: Support calendar management, travel coordination, expense submissions, stakeholder communication, and ad hoc projects as needed. Training will be provided for client-specific administrative processes.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, A/R, A/P, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- QuickBooks experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in financial services, venture capital, private equity, or a related environment is preferred.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; polished and professional in all interactions.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach; able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
