The Accountant is responsible for statutory accounting, financial controls, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data across various international legal entities. This role supports a timely closing process and ensures compliance with global accounting and tax standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Reconciliations: Ensures the timely and accurate recording of transactions, including detailed P&L and Balance Sheet reviews and account reconciliations.
- Closing & Audit Support: Supports the month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on payroll-related journals and assists with financial and tax audits.
- Strategic Analysis: Collaborates with the FP&A team to provide actuals for budget and forecast comparisons, performing ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.
- Compliance Management: Adheres to Group requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local tax standards.
- Process Optimization: Supports efforts to improve workflows and maintains documentation for compliant accounting system processes.
- Technical Management: Manages CAPEX, prepares complex accruals, and calculates tax expenses.
Job Profile (Skills & Experience)
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in accounting systems, policies, and audit procedures within a multinational organization.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced service environment or exposure to a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and complex formulas) and a strong understanding of IFRS.
- System Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 BC and Cognos is highly preferred.
- A graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. A CPA equivalent or an MBA is preferred.
