The Qualifications We Seek
- 1 to 3 years of relevant US accounting experience, preferably in fintech
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
- Strong knowledge of USGAAP accounting principles
- Experience using NetSuite accounting software preferred; experience with other accounting systems acceptable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform variance analysis and explain significant fluctuations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal accounting policies
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with FP&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax teams
Cash, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
- Post bank transactions for all bank accounts and complete corresponding reconciliations
- Apply customer payments in the accounting system
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
Prepaids, Fixed Assets, and Intangibles
- Post monthly amortization journal entries through the prepaids module in the accounting system
- Complete prepaid account reconciliations
- Record monthly depreciation and reconcile to the fixed assets schedule
- Update fixed assets schedule for asset additions
- Post monthly amortization journal entries and reconcile to the intangibles schedule
Lease Accounting and Payroll
- Ensure automatic journal entries on the first of each month match the lease accounting schedule
- Roll forward monthly lease reconciliations
- Record monthly payroll activity based on payroll reports
Equity and Stock-Based Compensation
- Post monthly stock-based compensation journal entries based on equity management reports
- Record journal entries for early exercise activity based on equity reports
