Role Summary
Our client is looking for a full-time Accountant experienced with Sage 500 ERP (MAS 500). This role supports accounts payable and receivable functions, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
LOCATION: Must be residing in the Philippines Remote.
ENVIRONMENT: Philippines and International Teams.
LANGUAGE: Advanced English (B2+ - C1)
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (11:00 PM 8:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

Essential Functions
- Process accounts payable (AP) vouchers, vendor invoices, and cash applications in Sage 500
- Manage month-end schedules by maintaining prepaid expense schedules, depreciation schedules, and lease ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries (accruals, reclasses, adjustments)
- Reconcile subledgers (AP, AR, fixed assets, cash) to the Sage 500 general ledger
- Provide variance analysis (budget vs. actual) with explanations for management
- Handle compliance and support by assisting with audit requests and maintain accurate supporting documentation
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
- 35 years accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, month-end closing)
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accrual accounting, and internal controls
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-currency accounting is preferred
- Familiarity with fixed asset and lease accounting standards (ASC 842) is an advantage
- Hands-on proficiency with Sage 500 ERP across AP, AR, FA, and GL modules
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations)
- Prior work in manufacturing, distribution, or services environments using Sage 500 is preferred
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
