Position: Accountant - Financial Reporting
Job Purpose: Accurate and timely reconciliation of P&L account balances in SAP General Ledger to balances in SAP Profitability Analysis Module (COPA) and preparation of MAPE and other financial reports to effectively provide support to internal customers and management in their decision-making; and ensure consistent compliance to statutory requirements, accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial closing activities such as booking of accruals and clearing.
- Accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial reports for DMPI statutory and DMPL group reporting.
- Reconcile P&L account balances in SAP General Ledger to balances in SAP Profitability Analysis Module (COPA), perform variance analysis, and establish corrective action to tie up the balances.
- Assist the external auditors with the walkthroughs for the year-end audit and preparation of the Financial Statements.
- Perform periodic analysis of transactions such as Sick Leave/Vacation Leave accruals, Income tax payable, AP professional fees, AP Utilities and AP Monthly Closing - Others.
- Quarterly preparation of the P&L Breakdown in support for the filing of the quarterly income tax of DMPI.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accounting/Financial Management/Management Accounting or other related course.
- Experience/background in finance/accouting an advantage.
- Must be willing to work onsite; 6-day workweek.
- Work Area: Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental
