The Account Officer is responsible for achieving business targets through generation of Assets Under Management (AUM) from existing and new clients of BDO Securities, as well as servicing operational requirements of assigned Relationship Management Centers. They are also expected to develop and engage strong relationships with clients serviced and assigned branches, as well as demonstrate excellence in customer service, and proper solicitation of investment products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client acquisition and Portfolio Growth
- Achieve business targets by acquiring, onboarding, and growing the portfolio of emerging affluent and mass affluent clients.
- Identify and promote a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
- Pursue marketing and solicitation efforts to attract investible funds from both existing and new accounts.
- Submit proposals and follows through with clients and prepare internal call reports to keep management informed of account status.
- Proactively liaise with branch partners for potential referrals and cross-selling opportunities.
Client Servicing
- Establish a deep understanding of client needs and expectations, offering appropriate investment advice.
- Refer eligible clients to the Relationship Management unit.
- Deliver a superior customer experience by resolving issues, from basic to complex, raised by clients.
Compliance and Professionalism
- Adhere to the rules, laws, regulations, and policies set by the Bank and regulatory bodies.
- Stay current with compliance and operational procedures, as well as new banking products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor&aposs Degree Holder (preferably a graduate of any business-related degree)
- Has at least 2 years’ experience in account management and/or business development; with particular focus on investments (or insurance) industry
- Preferably has the following certifications and licenses: Certified UITF Sales Person (CUSP/TOAP), Fixed Income Market Salesman (SEC), Certified Investment Solicitor (SEC), other relevant industry certifications e.g. TIFP, ESS, CFA, CMT, etc.
- Willing to travel from time to time and be located in Makati or Ortigas
