2D Echo Technologist - TMC Clinic (Sun Mall)

A. Patient Care Administration

Prepares patient for 2D echo by explaining heart ultrasound procedure and provides ambulatory assistance

Obtains and records patient identification and medical history

Positions patient, applies medical gel and electrodes, and connects and adjusts equipment accordingly

B. Medical Efficiency

Produces high quality imaging by accurately positioning transducers and monitoring display

Measures heart wall thickness and chamber sizes to standard norms

Records examination

Produces official results of tests conducted

Encodes 2D echo readers

C. Administrative Efficiency

Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
