Job Description

Remote · Flexible Schedule · Output-Based · Long-Term Opportunity

Compensation: US$1,000–$3,000/month, depending on experience, portfolio and level of ownership

BOMBÉ is a growing jewelry startup with ambitions much bigger than jewelry. We're building a brand around taste, culture, design, fashion, people, objects, ideas and the things worth paying attention to — with BOMBÉ at the center of that world.

Now we're building our YouTube presence as our first big step for 2027 goals. And we're looking for the editor who can help us make it impossible to ignore.

This is not a just edit the footage role.

We are not looking for someone who needs every B-roll clip timestamped, every transition explained and every creative decision handed to them.

We'll bring the ideas, direction, scripts, and BOMBÉ point of view.

Your job is to turn them into videos people actually want to keep watching.

What you'll own

You'll be responsible for turning BOMBÉs long-form YouTube ideas into finished, highly watchable videos and then extending those stories into strong short-form content.

You'll:

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos from script/VO to final delivery, with a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, retention, tension, payoff and visual rhythm.
  • Develop the visual treatment of each video, independently sourcing and selecting B-roll, archival footage, cultural references, imagery, stock, screenshots, memes and other supporting material when appropriate.
  • Create motion graphics, kinetic typography, visual explanations, compositing, transitions and animated elements that serve the story rather than exist just to look impressive.
  • Use music and sound design intentionally to create energy, emotion, comedy, momentum and polish.
  • Work with recurring BOMBÉ visual devices and characters, including our animated B-GIRL, and help develop a recognizable visual language for the channel.
  • Turn long-form content into native Shorts, Reels and TikToks — re-hooking, restructuring and re-editing when necessary rather than simply cropping the original video vertically.
  • Use AI intelligently as part of the production workflow to work faster, solve creative problems and create visuals that traditional editing alone can't easily provide.
  • Build reusable editing systems, templates and workflows that allow BOMBÉ to produce more content without sacrificing quality.
  • Keep projects, assets, versions and deliverables organized and consistently hit agreed deadlines.

Most importantly:

We want you to bring ideas to the table.

If you see a better edit, share it.

If you think our idea will flop based on your experience, tell us.

If there's no existing footage for the visual you have in mind, figure out another way to make it happen.

If you have an idea that makes the video 10× better, make the case for it.

We're hiring you for your judgment as much as your hands.

You should be AI-native

We don't believe great editors are being replaced by AI. We do believe great editors who know how to use AI now have a much bigger creative toolbox.

You should be comfortable working with tools and models such as Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, Google Veo, Sora, Seedance, Adobe Firefly and other emerging generative video platforms.

You don't need to know every tool. The AI landscape changes quickly. What matters is that you understand how to choose the right model or workflow for the shot you are trying to create.

Bonus points if you're already experimenting with tools we haven't listed.

We don't want AI used simply because it's AI.

We care about whether you know when a tool is useful, when it isn't, and whether the final result actually looks good.

Your taste still matters more than the tool.

BIG PLUS: You can generate high-quality creative assets with AI

This role becomes especially interesting to us if you're also strong at AI-assisted creative production beyond editing.

Big plus if you can:

  • Create high-quality AI-generated images that actually look editorial and intentional — not obviously AI-generated filler
  • Work confidently with tools such as ChatGPT Images or comparable image-generation platforms
  • Maintain visual consistency across generated characters, environments, styles and sequences
  • Use references, composition, lighting, art direction and prompting intelligently to achieve a specific creative outcome
  • Generate or manipulate supporting video assets using AI when traditional stock footage won't do the job
  • Use ElevenLabs or similar tools for natural-sounding AI voice generation, narration, character voices or temporary production VO
  • Understand how generated assets can be composited, animated and integrated into an edit so they feel like part of one visual world

You might be exactly who we're looking for if...

You understand that a technically perfect edit can still be boring.

You have a strong sense of timing, culture, internet language, visual storytelling and taste.

You can take a script and start imagining the video while you're reading it.

You notice the tiny editing choices that make a video feel expensive, funny, intelligent or impossible to click away from.

You experiment with new tools without needing someone to tell you to.

You love learning new things, exploring new angles and tools, and passionate and enjoy your craft.

You take ownership of your work.

In practical terms, we'd love to see:

  • A strong portfolio of long-form YouTube editing
  • Strong motion-design / After Effects capabilities or equivalent
  • Excellent command of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or a comparable professional editing workflow
  • Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, hooks and viewer retention
  • Excellent visual judgment and typography/motion instincts
  • Strong music selection and sound-design instincts
  • Ability to research and source supporting visual material independently
  • Ability to adapt stories for Shorts, Reels and TikTok
  • Comfort incorporating AI tools into a professional creative workflow
  • Curiosity about emerging creative technology and willingness to test better workflows
  • Strong English comprehension — our scripts rely heavily on nuance, humor and storytelling
  • Clear, proactive communication
  • Reliability and the ability to manage your own work without constant supervision

We care far more about the quality of your work than your degree or the number of years on your résumé.

You do not need previous jewelry experience.

Taste, storytelling ability, curiosity, resourcefulness, grit and creative judgment matter much more to us.

How we work

BOMBÉ is a startup. We're moving quickly, experimenting constantly and trying to build something significantly bigger than where we are today.

We need more content, more consistency and more traction and we're looking for someone who can take real ownership of making that happen alongside us.

This isn't a highly bureaucratic environment where you're given one tiny task inside a giant production machine.

You'll have real ownership.

You'll work directly with the founder and have meaningful influence over what BOMBÉs YouTube channel becomes.

As the role develops, we want you to understand the brand well enough that the founder doesn't need to explain every creative decision or micromanage every edit. If it becomes really favorable and you have great creative direction + performance as we scale, this can actually turn into a more senior role (e.g., YouTube Creative Lead or if REALLY exceptional performance and huge contribution you provide, Head of Content)

We value people who are:

  • Reliable. Resourceful. Curious. Communicative. Proactive. High-agency.
  • People who can take direction but don't need to be directed every five minutes.
  • People who spot problems and bring solutions.
  • People who experiment.
  • People who learn tools quickly.
  • People who follow through.
  • People who care about the final output, not just completing their portion of it.

Why work with us

  • Fully remote. Work from anywhere.
  • Flexible schedule. We are not interested in watching a green status dot or making you clock into an arbitrary 9–5.
  • Output-based work. We agree on the work, quality standard and deadline. You manage your own time and get it done.
  • Flexibility does not mean disappearing. Clear communication, proactive updates, reliability and meeting agreed deadlines matter enormously to us.
  • Potential for a long-term, SENIOR role. We're not looking for someone to edit three videos and disappear. If the partnership works, we'd like this person to grow with BOMBÉ.
  • Room to grow with the company. As BOMBÉ scales, we intend for the opportunities, responsibilities and perks available to our core team to scale with it (including but not limited to: role promotion, compensation, and other performance bonuses)
  • Real creative ownership. You won't just execute somebody else's edit notes forever. We want your brain involved.

Compensation

Starting salary: US$1,000–$3,000 per month

Final compensation will depend on your portfolio, experience, motion-design ability, AI capabilities, speed, creative judgment and the level of ownership you can independently take on.

Exceptional work matters more to us than fitting neatly into a predetermined seniority label.

What the hiring process looks like

  1. Application
  2. Paid trial
  3. 30 min interview with Founder
  4. Offer + onboarding call with Founder

How to apply

Please don't send us a generic application. We'd rather review three exceptional pieces of work than 30 average ones.

Send us:

1. Your portfolio

2. Your 2–3 strongest long-form edits. Tell us what you personally handled on each one.

3. Your strongest short-form work (Shorts, Reels or TikToks)

4. One video you've edited that you're especially proud of and tell us why

5. Your current availability, current monthly compensation, and expected monthly compensation.

We're early. There is a lot to build. There are no decades-old processes telling you exactly how everything has to be done.

For the right person, you'll feel inspired and excited to apply. If that's you, we would love to see your portfolio.
