YouTube Channel Manager (Social Media Manager)

We're currently looking for teammates for our remote YouTube Channel Manager position. As a YouTube Channel Manager, you'll run and grow our creators YouTube channels. You'll work directly with multiple creators, handling their YouTube content strategies and the day-to-day operations of their channels. Alternative titles for this position include: YouTube / social media manager, coordinator, strategist, director, and analyst.

Qualifications

We're hiring individuals who have intimate knowledge of YouTube, YouTube Studio, and YouTube growth strategies.

A great fit for this role is someone:

• With at least 1 year of experience owning and/or managing an English YouTube channel with at least 50k subscribers
• With social media management experience
• With advanced knowledge of YouTube Analytics
• With experience researching trending topics and coming up with video ideas
• With extensive knowledge of YouTube Shorts
• Who can produce good copy with catchy headlines
• Who is dependable and for whom meeting deadlines is second nature
• Who is persistent as hell and extremely ambitious
• Bonus: you have experience negotiating brand deals and sponsorships

Responsibilities

You'll communicate directly with creators and work with multiple YouTube channels. You must maintain availability Monday through Saturday Pacific Standard Time.

This is a mostly-complete list of the tasks you'll perform for each channel:

• Create and execute a YouTube growth strategy unique to each channel
• Regularly review and adjust strategies for each channel
• Conduct weekly 1 on 1 calls to update clients on their channel's progress
• Come up with video ideas unique to each channel
• Upload, schedule, and premiere YouTube videos and YouTube Shorts
• SEO optimize videos including keywords, titles, descriptions, hashtags, tags, cards, and end screens
• Work with our video editors and thumbnail artists to coordinate their work on the channels
• Organize and update playlists
• Respond to YouTube comments
• Create YouTube posts
• Perform community moderation
• Create detailed channel analytics reports
• Facilitate collaborations between similar channels
• Find opportunities for brand deals/sponsorships and negotiate terms
