Job Title: Site Quality Inspector
Work Location: Quezon Province
Work Shift: 10hrs per day / 6 days per week
Project Duration: 2-3 years
Reports To: Project Site Manager / Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The WTG Site Quality Inspector ensures that all on-site activities related to WTG reception, installation and commissioning meet quality standards and technical specifications within the project group.
This includes components incoming inspection, installation in-process inspection, identifying and documenting non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with HSE and quality protocols.
Responsibilities
- Inspect delivered WTG components (e.g., blades, nacelles, towers, hubs) for damage or defects before installation.
- Perform in-process and final inspections during turbine erection (e.g. mechanical, electrical, and structural).
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and installation procedures.
- Report non-conformities (NCRs), track resolutions, and verify corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Coordinate with installation teams, commissioning engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues on site.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, quality checklists, and daily reports, compound needed on site documentation to comply with contractual agreements.
- Support site audits and walk-downs with clients, project teams, and third-party inspectors.
- Participate in daily/weekly/monthly toolbox talks and quality briefings.
- Ensure safe work practices and adherence to HSE and QA/QC policies, educate and instruct new Quality Inspectors.
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing the project quality performance on site.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of field inspection or quality control experience, preferably in the wind energy project
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine installation processes and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Familiarity with tools like torque wrenches, micrometers, and inspection software.
- Working knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and documentation control.
- Certifications like GWO (Global Wind Organization), LOTO, and working at heights are highly desirable.
- Excellent observation, communication, and reporting skills by fluency English.
- Ability to work under pressure and in remote outdoor environments.
