Job Description

Join Manulife's Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Systems and Platform Services team as a Workload Automation Specialist. In this role, you will own and evolve enterprise batch automation workflows that support mission‑critical financial platforms used globally. Your work ensures production stability today while enabling smarter, scalable automation for the future.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise batch schedules using Broadcom CA Workload Automation dSeries (ESP)
  • Operate and support batch workflows across development, testing, and production environments
  • Automate manual or repetitive processes using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
  • Ensure smooth deployment and support transitions throughout release cycles
  • Develop, document, and maintain scheduling standards, controls, and best practices
  • Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse application, infrastructure, and operations teams
  • Successfully supporting and enhancing production batch workflows with minimal incidents
  • Establishing trust as a reliable automation partner for application and platform teams
  • Identifying and delivering meaningful automation improvements that reduce manual effort
  • Contributing to improved standards, documentation, and operational consistency

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Broadcom CA Workload Automation dSeries (ESP) or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Control‑M)
  • Background in batch scheduling, application support, production operations, or technical operations roles
  • Strong analytical, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid set-up (3x onsite per week)
  • Amenable to work on a rotating or night shift

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
  • Basic scripting experience (e.g., JavaScript)
  • SQL query development and data analysis
  • SFTP and secure file‑transfer processes
  • General understanding of server and network concepts
  • Familiarity with ITIL, SDLC, and compliance‑controlled environments
