Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, specifically in HCM, Core Compensation, or Absence
  • 2-3 years of experience gathering system requirements to solve complex business problems
  • Proven experience editing Business Process workflows, including condition rules and validation logic
  • High proficiency in Workday Report Writer, with the ability to build Matrix and Composite reports using Calculated Fields
  • Extensive experience managing mass data updates via Inbound Enterprise Interface Builders
  • Solid understanding of Workday Security Groups (role-based and user-based) and Domain Security Policies

Bonus points for:

  • Exposure to the Australian HR landscape or experience with multiple HR systems
  • Ability to translate technical constraints into clear, user-friendly language for stakeholders

Responsibilities

System Configuration & Optimization

  • Lead hands-on configuration and maintenance of Workday Business Processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on system errors and implement technical fixes within the Workday tenant
  • Optimize system workflows to reduce manual intervention and enhance self-service capabilities

Security & Release Management

  • Manage and audit Workday Security Groups to ensure strict data privacy and system integrity
  • Lead technical validation and User Acceptance Testing for semi-annual Workday releases and perform impact analysis on custom configurations
  • Maintain the Technical Configuration Workbook and internal system documentation

Advanced Reporting & Data Management

  • Design and build Advanced and Matrix reports from scratch to support People and Culture leadership
  • Utilize Calculated Fields (e.g., Evaluate Expression, Lookup Related Value) to automate complex data requests
  • Execute and govern mass system data updates using EIB templates to ensure 100% data accuracy and audit readiness
