The Workday Financials Expert, Enterprise Applications serves as the strategic bridge between the global Accounting organization and Technology teams, ensuring enterprise financial systems effectively support accounting operations and business objectives. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Workday Financials, translating complex accounting requirements into scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and system integration across the organization.

Working closely with accounting, technology, and cross-functional stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive process transformation initiatives, support system adoption, and ensure the Workday Financials platform continues to evolve in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Lead the solution architecture, design, configuration, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Workday Financials to support business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday Financials and other enterprise platforms.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and coordinate with Technology teams to maintain platform stability and timely resolution of incidents.
• Evaluate new Workday features, releases, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develop scalable and sustainable system solutions that align with long-term business objectives and accounting requirements.
  
  

• Act as the primary liaison between the global Accounting organization and Technology teams, ensuring alignment of business needs and system capabilities.
• Analyze accounting processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, process standardization, and enhanced accuracy.
• Partner with accounting leaders and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective system solutions.
• Support strategic initiatives that improve financial operations, reporting capabilities, and compliance processes.
  
  

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Financials, providing guidance and support on accounting-related system inquiries and issues.
• Develop and deliver training programs, user documentation, and best practice guidance for accounting and finance teams.
• Establish governance standards and support change management activities related to system enhancements and process improvements.
• Prepare and present updates on system performance, project milestones, enhancement initiatives, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of combined experience in accounting, finance operations, and enterprise financial systems.
• Strong understanding of core accounting processes and financial principles, including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Banking & Settlement
  • Financial Reporting
    
    
• Experience leading or managing ERP Financials implementations, integrations, system upgrades, or major enhancement projects within complex global organizations.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives involving finance, accounting, and technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
• Experience utilizing project management methodologies and tools to support implementation and transformation initiatives.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
  
  

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
• Experience supporting global finance organizations and multinational business operations.
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations, financial reporting tools, and finance technology ecosystems.
