The Work Pack Lead will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing comprehensive work packs and Statements of Work (SOWs) to support brownfield power plant projects and maintenance activities. The role will ensure that project scopes are clearly defined, field conditions are accurately assessed, and multidisciplinary engineering inputs are integrated into fit-for-purpose work packages that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of work packs, project definition packages, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for brownfield industrial and power generation projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive scope definition documentation, including technical requirements, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces, and contractor deliverables.
  • Conduct field verification activities, site investigations, and constructability reviews to validate project scope and execution requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs to ensure complete and executable work package deliverables.
  • Interface with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and project teams to align work package requirements with business and project objectives.
  • Support tendering and contractor engagement activities through the preparation of detailed scopes of work and technical documentation.
  • Review engineering deliverables, drawings, technical reports, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, interfaces, and execution challenges associated with brownfield modifications and operational facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with project procedures, engineering standards, and document control requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project team members regarding work pack development and scope management.
  • Participate in project planning, preparation, and packaging activities to support efficient project execution.
  • Liaise with client representatives and key stakeholders to ensure project requirements and expectations are clearly understood and achieved.
  • Support business development activities by providing scope definition input, estimates, and technical expertise for proposals and new project opportunities.
  • Promote continuous improvement and the application of industry best practices in work pack development, planning, and execution.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards, engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and technology developments affecting power generation facilities.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in work pack development, construction management, or brownfield engineering
  • Minimum 12 years experience in engineering with at least 5 years focused on work pack and SOW development for brownfield industrial projects
  • Experience in developing fit-for-purpose project definition packages, Statements of Work (SOWs), and engineering work packs for thermal power plant or equivalent heavy industrial facilities
  • Strong background in field verification, site investigations, and constructability reviews
  • Familiarity with coal-fired power plant systems and brownfield modification challenges
  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline inputs into a single coherent work pack package
  • Knowledge of TLI or Aboitiz Power engineering standards and document control requirements is an advantage
