Job Description

The Opportunity

  • Provide technical support & maintenance for Windows Server Infrastructure, File/Print Services, Active Directory Services, Office 365 including Exchange Online, VMware ESXi, SCCM, Physical Server, Storage and other systems.
  • Install, repair, patch & maintain existing technologies.
  • Utilise & comply with all relevant NRI methodologies, standards, processes & procedures, including but not limited to, the Business Management System (BMS) & Service Management Methodology (SMM)
  • Liaise with external vendors as required to ensure timely resolution of hardware / software issues
  • Maintain current levels of documentation as per contractual obligations
  • Assist with delivery of both on-premise & public cloud-based projects
  • Facilitate/participate in engagements with client & 3rd party organisations on technology issues as required
  • Generate infrastructure reporting
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within SLA & communicate with client
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities

Desired Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Level 3 Wintel support
  • Solid working experience in dual shore delivery
  • Able to work in a team environment in close collaboration with the customer & Australian based technical team
  • Microsoft technologies:

-Windows Server 2016 & Windows 2012R2 as well as Windows 2008Rs

-Building Windows OS

-Understanding of system Events logs

-Vulnerability management - Patching Windows OS/End Point Security/Agents

-Experience of supporting Active Directory domain & associated core services (Group Policies, DNS, DHCP)

-Remote Desktop Services

  • Experience on Windows end point patch management (Ivanti) would be great advantage
  • Working experience at least on 4 of the following (must include PowerShell):

-Major vendor server hardware experience (Dell/HP/IBM/Cisco etc) & associated management tools

-VMware, including VDI Horizon

-Azure (Intune, Azure Pack for on-premise)

-Office 365/Exchange online

-Exchange on premise/hybrid

-AWS

-PowerShell

-Enterprise backup technologies (BackupExec preferred, CommVault/NetBackup/Tivoli etc)

-Endpoint Protection (Sophos preferred, Symantec, McAfee etc)

-Microfocus Sitescope & OppsBridge

  • Must be willing to provide on-call support
  • Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours for planned, out of hours work
