Windows Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:

The Senior Windows Systems Administrator will be handling highly complex incidents, problem tickets, OS provisioning, configuration and completion of requests from local and onshore users and related support and project tasks and will be working with the Design and Project teams as needed to determine if Projects/Requests require Standard Stack, New Architecture or New Design.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related course.
• At least five years working experience on Windows platform (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
• Ability to write basic to complex scripts (Batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Python) for systems administration and automation.
• Expert in using systems administration tools, commands, and processes to perform advanced configuration.
• Expert in implementing system security to comply with audit and address vulnerability issues.
• Ability to resolve problems independently.
• Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in taking responsibility.
• Results-oriented and willing to work on new technologies.
• Able to work independently and self-motivated.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Customer oriented and possesses Can-Do attitude.

Required Skills:

• Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 Server Advance Administration
• Windows Server provisioning & upgrades (Automated/Non-automated)
• Operating System security hardening
• Operating System Patch Management
• Knowledge in infrastructure design concepts and implementation.
• Advance Scripting (Batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Python etc.).
• Advance Active Directory Administration
• Advance Server Resource Management (CPU, Memory, Storage)
• Advance VMWare vCenter Administration
• Advance Azure Cloud Administration
• Advance Google Cloud Administration

Preferred but not required:

• WSUS Administration
• Advance skills in Windows Services (IIS, DNS, DHCP etc.)
• Advance knowledge on storage systems (NAS, SAN, NFS etc.)
• Advance knowledge of networking
• Project Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 2nd and 3rd level support for Windows Server Platform
• Handle incident and change tickets that come into the groups queue.
• Provide solutions to highly complex issues/problems.
• Handle problem tickets to permanently fix recurring problems and performance issues.
• Write basic to complex scripts for systems administration and automation.
• Manage and monitor server resources like CPU, memory, and storage (Vcenter, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Working with Engineering as needed to determine if Projects/Requests require Standard Stack, New Architecture, or New Design.
• Preparing the Windows Operating System per design specifications.
• Apply configuration change and required fix and patches to meet the ongoing customer, business, and technology requirements.
• Install or assist with the installation of business applications/software.
