Role Window Imaging Engineer

Job Summary

The Windows Imaging Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Operating System Deployment (SCCM OSD).Windows Imaging Engineers should have advanced skills in Windows 10 Enterprise configuration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment. The position requires a responsible, self-motivated, well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Execute project related tasks including discovery, design, test plan development, and delivery of completed product to operations team.
  • Support OS deployment technologies to a worldwide enterprise.
  • Provide rapid response to PC Imaging issues and outages.
  • Work under limited direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Provide OS Deployment process training to Field Team Analysts.
  • Work closely with Level III support to assist Field Teams and Level II support.
  • Assist businesses with defining PC end state configuration consisting of Business specific applications Business specific configurations Troubleshoot OS Deployment failures.
  • LAN/WAN troubleshooting Develop and troubleshoot PowerShell Scripts & SQL queries.
  • Troubleshoot GPO processing issues Develop GPO and GPO Preference.
  • Troubleshoot PXE boot issues.
  • Virtual Machine usage for testing OSD and related tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Provide support for release deployments in a 24x7 operations environment as required.
  • Produce technical and operational documentation.

Qualifications


  • 5+ years of related technical support experience.
  • 1+ Service Now or equivalent ticketing system experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide audience.
  • Demonstrate a customer focused attitude.
  • SCCM Feature Update
  • Expert Knowledge SCCM Current Branch task sequence deployment methods and best practice.
  • PowerShell scripting experience SQL query experience.
  • Microsoft Active Directory Administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating System deployment tools MDT, SCCM, OSD and Windows PE
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call after hour rotation environment.
  • Good understanding of change management.
