Job Description

OVERVIEW

Carry out the O&M service of the WTG in accordance with project schedule and to the standard of company specifications, including WTG troubleshooting, schedule maintenance, retrofit, inspection, and provide operation reports to customers and companies etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Wind Farm Equipment Operation and Maintenance Management

  • Responsible for the daily inspection, periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of wind turbines and its parts (blades, gearboxes, generators, converters, towers, etc.) to ensure safe and stable equipment operation.
  • Monitor SCADA system data, analyze unit operating status, identify potential faults, and develop preventive maintenance plans.
  • Handle sudden turbine failures, optimize downtime, and improve equipment availability.

Safety Management and Compliance

  • Strictly implement power industry safety standards (such as working at heights, electrical operations, confined space entry, etc.) and implement risk pre-control measures.
  • Participate in developing emergency plans, organize regular safety drills, and ensure the site complies with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.

Technical Optimization and Cost Control

  • Analyze equipment performance data and propose technical improvement suggestions to enhance power generation efficiency or reduce operation and maintenance costs.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, optimize procurement plans, and control operation and maintenance costs.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Coordinate with suppliers and third-party service teams to complete major component replacements or specialized repairs (e.g. gearbox maintenance, blade repair, etc.).
  • Prepare daily and weekly operation reports as well as fault analysis reports.
  • Report equipment status and key performance indicators to management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • College degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, New Energy Science and Engineering, or related fields.
  • Be able to climb a wind turbine and perform demanding physical work in heights and in confined space as well as in various weather conditions.
  • Over 2 years of experience in wind farm operation and maintenance, familiar with the structure and working principles of mainstream wind turbine models (e.g., Goldwind, Envision, Mingyang, etc.).
  • Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting wind turbine control systems (e.g., PLC, pitch system, yaw system).
  • Possess electrical operation qualifications (e.g., Low Voltage Electrician Certificate, Working at Heights Certificate, etc.), and be familiar with relay protection and grid dispatch requirements.
  • Proficient in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, or specialized SCADA software), with basic data analysis capabilities.
  • Valid Car driver's license in the Philippines is desirable.
  • GWO or other industrial certifications are nice to have.
  • A significant understanding of and commitment to the standard of HSE in the wind farms.
  • Enjoy working in cross-cultural teams and communicating with various stakeholders
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken. Chinese literate is a plus.
