Wind Turbine Technical Manager | Utility-Scale Wind Power Projects

Are you an experienced wind energy professional with a strong technical background in turbine installation, commissioning, and performance management We are looking for a Wind Turbine Technical Manager to lead and oversee all turbine-related technical activities for utility-scale wind power projects.

In this critical role, you will serve as the primary technical authority and liaison between the turbine manufacturer, EPC contractor, owner's engineer, and project stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery and commissioning of wind turbine systems in compliance with contractual, technical, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Act as the primary technical interface between the turbine supplier, EPC contractor, and project owner throughout the project lifecycle.

✅ Review, evaluate, and approve turbine technical documentation, including:

• Design drawings
• Installation manuals
• Foundation load data
• Interface documents
• Commissioning procedures

✅ Oversee turbine transportation, erection, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and project specifications.

✅ Review foundation design parameters, including:

• Tower base interface loads
• Anchor bolt layout
• Embedment ring specifications

✅ Monitor turbine component deliveries and conduct technical inspections upon site arrival.

✅ Manage technical non-conformances, equipment damage claims, and supplier-related technical issues.

✅ Evaluate and approve erection methodologies, installation sequences, and torque specifications proposed by supplier teams.

✅ Lead troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during installation and commissioning activities.

✅ Review and validate:

• Commissioning test reports
• Power curve testing protocols
• Grid compliance documentation

✅ Manage turbine punch-list closure and ensure readiness for Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC).

✅ Support technical negotiations involving:

• Contract clarifications
• Variation orders
• Warranty claims
• Performance guarantees

✅ Provide technical support during O&M handover, including review of manuals, spare parts, and training programs.

✅ Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and performance summaries for management and clients.
