The Wholesale Banking Compliance Officer, as a risk steward, provides regulatory and compliance advice, guidance, opinions, direction, and training to the business. The Compliance Officer ensures the business complies with the letter and spirit of regulations, which will consequently deliver fair outcomes for customers and embed robust risk management culture in RCBC's processes.
- Provides compliance support, advice, and guidance to the assigned business line and compliance areas
- Advises the business on the benefits and impact of regulations, current industry practices, and advancements on the assigned business line and compliance areas
- Serves as a regulatory coordinator for projects, products, and services requiring implementation/application of regulations related to the assigned business line and compliance areas
- Supports the Division Head to improve and maintain the day-to-day running of the Division, to ensure efficient decision-making and execution of tasks
- Supports the Group's compliance function by identifying developing issues and trends that may impact or be relevant to the RAG's management of regulatory, compliance, and AML risks.
What will make you successful:
- Graduate of Accounting, Legal Management, Law, or any business or relevant course
- At least two (2) years of experience, preferably in the compliance or audit functions in the banking industry
- Background in regulatory compliance knowledge related to the assigned business line and compliance function
- Knowledge on wholesale products and services (e.g., trust, treasury, corporate loans, etc.) business segments , and operations to support sustainable growth
- Experience in handling financial instruments (especially derivatives and securities), including the process of how they are traded, booked and risk-managed
