The Junior Product Analyst is an early-career role for fresh graduates who enjoy asking why, thinking critically, and improving digital experiences. Working with AI-enabled software development teams, the role helps translate product and business goals into validated user outcomes by clarifying requirements, testing features from the user perspective, identifying defects and ambiguities, and supporting cross-functional delivery. The position contributes to product success by ensuring quality, recommending usability improvements, and keeping product documentation and backlogs accurate throughout the product lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Learn and understand business objectives, product vision, and user workflows behind assigned features
- Participate in product discussions to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Create and analyze user stories while identifying ambiguities, inconsistencies, or missing requirements before development begins
- Execute manual, exploratory, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Validate that implemented features meet functional requirements and expected user experience
- Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps and business impact
- Verify bug fixes and ensure product stability before release
- Evaluate products from the perspective of end users and recommend usability improvements
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve customer experience
- Contribute ideas that enhance overall product quality beyond defect reporting
- Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications
- Manage product backlogs and ensure requirements remain accurate and up to date
- Maintain documentation throughout the product lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 1 year working experience as a quality assurance engineer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think critically and evaluate problems from both a user and business perspective
- Strong ownership and accountability, taking initiative to identify opportunities and drive improvements
- Proactively explores and adopts new AI tools and workflows to improve productivity, quality, and decision-making
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Basic knowledge of Agile software development principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, capstone, or personal project involving software development, product management, business analysis, or quality assurance
- Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar productivity tools
