Job Description

Position Purpose:

Creating new websites based on an existing code base using the latest technologies offered by PHP, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS.

Designing, building, and maintaining digital marketing websites for Zywave and Zywave customers.

Collaborating with team members on day-to-day activities and tasks.

Working with connected teams to facilitate the website build-out during the onboarding process.

Building and maintaining parts of the Website Platform.

Development and deployment of new website themes in the CMS Platform.

Help make Zywave the best in our business.

Essential Functions:

Work with other web developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure that customer websites are functional and visually appealing and promote usability best practices.

Working within design mockups, light design file modification, cropping, and saving for the web.

Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, applications, and digital media.

Directing or performing end-user website updates.

Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.

Maintaining an understanding of the latest web programming practices and SEO standards through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field preferred and/or equivalent of 2+ years of experience.

Proficient knowledge in JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, PHP, SCSS/CSS3, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.

Basic proficiency with Photoshop and working with design files.

Experience with WordPress is preferred.

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Proficient business writing and verbal communication skills to interface with teammates and other teams.

Good analytical and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving benchmarks.

Troubleshooting and identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction. Understand and implement accessibility standards as they pertain to front-end development and implementing best practices within our websites and platform. Enhance customer websites for maximum ease of use, speed, security, and other quality factors. Additional duties as required.
