Web Support Specialist

Job Description

1. Perform proactive WordPress and Shopify maintenance, updates, backups, and basic security checks.

2. Manage website content updates, page changes, and minor design or functionality enhancements.

3. Provide technical support and troubleshoot website issues, plugins, themes, integrations, and Shopify features.

4. Undertake basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP and Shopify Liquid modifications as required.

5. Manage staging, testing, and deployment using Git-based workflows where applicable.

6. Monitor website performance, analytics, and search performance using GA4 and Google Search Console.

7. Prepare regular service and performance reports and communicate issues, actions, and recommendations.

8. Coordinate French-language content updates based on client-supplied source copy.

9. Maintain documentation and ensure continuity of support through collaboration with the backup/QA resource.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in WordPress and Shopify website management and support.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress, page builders, WooCommerce, Shopify themes/Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
• Experience with website maintenance, troubleshooting, staging, Git workflows, GA4, and Google Search Console.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and client support skills.
• Excellent English communication skills; French language proficiency is not required.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with the initiative to proofread and validate English and French website content and postings.
• Amenable to work Irish Standard Time
