A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

Responsibilities of theWeb Developerwill include, but are not limited to:

Web Development

• Coordinate and execute website pages using modern web technologies, frameworks and programming language. Including but not limited to product pages, homepages and content pages.
• Coordinate website asset requirements to deliver effective product launches. Including but not limited to product imagery, product copy, product specs and prices to ensure effective website page creation.
• Coordinate and execute data entry requirements for websites as required.
• Ensure any code developed or executed is reviewed by senior developers before implementation is finalised.
• Provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality, adherence to coding standards and best practises.
• Stay up to date with web development trends and best practises.
• Troubleshooting and support as required.
• Undertake QA and UAT to ensure proper testing, debugging and quality assurance with websites before release.
• Ad Hoc tasks and reporting as required.

eCommerce Operations

• Maintain and execute eCommerce operations including but not limited to product range merchandising, promotional program implementation and brand & customer support page execution.
• Day to day eCommerce order management problem solving including but not limited to SAP order issues, Returns and refund support, Paypal and payment partner support requirements.
• Support test order implementation on new websites as required.
• Support and execute product catalogue integrations across eCommerce and Marketplace operations.
• Support digital advertising activity by successfully installing Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Merchant Centre, Meta Ads, Klaviyo and any other code that is required to be installed on websites to drive digital advertising programs.
• Support SEO requirements from agency partners.

Experience.

• Experience with web development
• Experience with QA & UAT.
• Strong knowledge of web standards, accessibility guidelines and cross browser compatibility.
• Experience within an eCommerce field.
• Ability to communicate cross functionally.
• Creating documentation that very simply highlights the issues, values, and benefits.
• Ability to gather, analyse, interpret and data to assist in decision making.
• Identifying and delivering meaningful reporting and insights.

Technical skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive design skills.
• Modern front end frameworks and their core concepts.
• eCommerce platform experience eg Magento, Shopify etc.
• Back end technology and database experience eg SQL, MongoDB

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this role will be defined by the following:

• eCommerce & marketplace sales achieved against KPI's.
• Website performance delivers against KPI's eg traffic, conversion, bounce etc.
• Advertising budget achieved
• ROAS targets achieved.
• Work flow processes clearly documented and utilised cross functionally.
