Job Description

The Web Developer and Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development of adviser websites and digital assets (e.g. animated videos, digital presentations and social media content), as well as the creation of marketing materials such as newsletters, bulletins and PowerPoint presentations for advisers. This includes contributing to content creation for use across digital channels including graphic design, videography and post production. It is expected they will have well developed knowledge and experience using the technology applications associated with these deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Support marketing initiatives in conjunction with the Head of Marketing and Communications.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials using relevant apps and programs, e.g. Adobe InDesign, Canva, social media platforms, etc.
  • Ensure the format of all materials adhere to Company's brand style guidelines
  • Website development Develop and maintain multiple websites for Company advisers using the Wordpress Content Management System (CMS). This involves:
  • Working with the Company Marketing and Communications Team to discuss new adviser website projects and requirements (e.g. web development, hosting and maintenance, email setup, etc).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience designing and building contemporary websites using the Wordpress and integrating best practice standards with regards to UX, UI and accessibility and security protocols.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of the technology and systems required for website development and to minimise security risks, e.g. domain registration and hosting, plugins and website security.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, creativity and design including knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
  • An understanding of how social media and websites can be used for marketing and communications purposes.
  • Knowledge of html, JavaScript, PHP and CSS.
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (XD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition), Microsoft Office 365 (including Teams), along with video editing capability.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills including the ability to explain technical information using easy to understand language.
  • Experience using email marketing systems, e.g. Mailchimp and online survey systems, e.g. SurveyMonkey
