Overview

ISS STOXX is expanding, and our global Weapons Research team is looking for a talented analyst to join our Manila-based team. The Weapons Research team is focused on researching corporate involvement in a wide range of defense and military-related activities as part of ISS STOXX's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research sector-based screening solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in our comprehensive and interactive training program designed to support your development as a successful Weapons Research Analyst.
  • Conduct thorough research on companies and their business activities, both independently and in collaboration with our experienced global Weapons Research team.
  • Produce detailed analyses of companies business activities based on established research methodologies in the form of written reports
  • Contribute to local and global team processes aimed at enhancing our ESG product offerings. This may include supporting research methodology development, quality assurance, and IT platform development.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, political science, international relations, security studies or any related courses.
  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant ESG or corporate research experience, business analysis or specific research writing background. Experience related to researching issues in the defense industry and arms control is plus.
  • Proven experience in conducting research, preferably with a focus on corporate activities.
  • Excellent English writing skills, with the ability to produce concise and conclusive analyses.
  • A broad interest in the business and financial world, as well as in ESG, responsible investment, and sustainability.
  • Methodical Approach: A methodical and thorough approach to work, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with a proactive attitude and the desire to show initiative.
