Position: Wealth Products Head

Job Summary: The
Wealth Products Head is responsible for driving the strategy, performance, and governance of deposit products for the Wealth segment. The role ensures sustainable deposit growth and optimal funding support for the Bank's cards and lending portfolios, while advancing UnionBank's broader Wealth and Segments strategy. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders across Retail Banking, Treasury, Digital, Technology, and Wealth Management to deliver market-relevant, digitally enabled, and customer-centric deposit propositions aligned with UnionBank's digital-first and innovation-led positioning in the Philippine market.
Duties And Responsibilities
Wealth Deposit Strategy & Balance Management
- Lead the deposit strategy for the Wealth segment in line with UnionBank's segment priorities and balance sheet objectives.
- Drive deposit balance growth and optimization to support funding requirements for cards and loan portfolios.
- Enable balance migration into higher-value investment and insurance solutions through close collaboration with Wealth Management.
Pricing, Interest Rate & Retention Management
- Design and execute pricing and interest rate strategies to manage attrition, strengthen client retention, and support targeted acquisition initiatives.
- Implement tactical pricing programs during integration, migration, or platform transitions to preserve customer trust and balances.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, and Risk teams to ensure pricing strategies are commercially sound and compliant with internal and regulatory guidelines.
Product Management & Value Proposition
- Oversee the end-to-end management of Wealth deposit products, including savings, time deposits, and FX-related offerings.
- Continuously enhance the Wealth deposit value proposition, leveraging global best practices and local market insights.
- Ensure strong product governance, performance monitoring, and adherence to BSP and internal policies.
Digital Enablement & Client Experience
- Advance the digitalization of deposit products in partnership with Digital Banking and Technology teams.
- Identify and prioritize digital feature enhancements required to sustain a seamless and differentiated client experience.
- Ensure consistent and frictionless customer journeys across digital and assisted channels.
Integration, Transformation & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a key contributor to enterprise integration and transformation initiatives, including product replication and migration efforts.
- Lead multiple cross-functional workstreams spanning Product, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and Frontline teams.
- Protect customer experience and value proposition throughout transformation initiatives.
People & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing product teams aligned with UnionBank's performance and culture standards.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across Segments, Wealth Management, Retail Banking, and enabling functions.
- Present product strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to senior management and governance forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 8–12 years of relevant experience in banking, with strong exposure to deposit products, wealth management, or retail banking.
- Proven experience in deposit pricing, balance sheet management, and funding strategy.
- Demonstrated capability in product management, digital innovation, and cross-functional execution.
- Strong understanding of the Philippine banking landscape and regulatory environment.
