Wave and Replenishment Specialist (Inventory Supervisor)

Position Summary:

The Wave and Replenishment Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within the distribution center. This position is responsible for managing wave planning, order release, and inventory replenishment processes to support timely and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Wave Planning & Execution

• Coordinate and execute wave planning based on order priorities, shipping schedules, and resource availability.
• Monitor and adjust wave releases to optimize labor and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with operations and inventory teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Inventory Replenishment

• Analyze inventory levels and initiate replenishment tasks to maintain optimal stock in pick locations.
• Ensure replenishment tasks are completed accurately and promptly to avoid stockouts or delays.
• Work closely with inventory control to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.

System & Reporting

• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage wave and replenishment activities.
• Generate and analyze reports to track performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of wave and replenishment activities for audit and compliance purposes.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate effectively with warehouse associates, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities.
• Participate in daily operational meetings to align on priorities and address challenges.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• College graduate on IE or Business Operations Management or equivalent.
• With Transport planning background (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in wave planning or inventory replenishment.
• Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with systems like SAP EWM.
• Knowledge of lean warehousing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
