Job Description
The Warehouse Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the overall performance of warehouse and distribution operations. The role involves developing and implementing warehouse strategies, optimizing storage and inventory processes, managing operational budgets and resources, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring that warehouse objectives are aligned with the company's overall goals.
The Warehouse Senior Manager will lead warehouse managers, supervisors, and teams while ensuring efficient, safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of all warehouse activities.
The position will also work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, space utilization, cost efficiency, and customer service.
The Warehouse Senior Manager is expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify and resolve operational challenges, establish performance standards, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures. The role will also build a high-performing workforce through effective coaching, performance management, talent development, and strong collaboration while promoting accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferably with a Master's degree or relevant professional certification in logistics, supply chain, operations, or management.
- At least 8–10 years of relevant work experience, with significant experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience in a senior managerial or leadership role overseeing warehouse or distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, distribution processes, and logistics operations.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, people management, operational management, and process improvement.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple warehouse sites, large teams, operational priorities, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of KPI management, budgeting, cost control, productivity improvement, inventory accuracy, and warehouse performance management.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of occupational safety, warehouse compliance, quality standards, and operational policies.
- Results-oriented, highly organized, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Willing to work onsite and travel when required.
