Job Description
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatching, inventory control, and the proper handling of goods. The role ensures that warehouse activities are performed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.
The Warehouse Manager will monitor operational performance, optimize warehouse space and resources, control costs, and implement process improvements to achieve productivity and service-level targets.
The position is also responsible for leading and developing warehouse supervisors and personnel, managing manpower allocation and schedules, and ensuring proper coordination with Operations, Transport, Inventory, and other departments. The Warehouse Manager will monitor inventory accuracy, investigate operational discrepancies, address safety and quality concerns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a safe, organized, productive, and cost-effective warehouse operation.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably with managerial experience.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory processes.
- Experienced in manpower planning, scheduling, and team management.
- Strong knowledge of 5S, FIFO/FEFO, warehouse safety, and inventory accuracy practices.
- Experience in implementing process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably experienced with WMS, ERP, or inventory management systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Results-oriented and capable of managing multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work onsite, shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays when required.
