Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, efficiency, and compliance of the company's warehouse facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management, safe storage, timely dispatch of goods, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes. The position also supports supply chain objectives by coordinating closely with procurement, logistics, and other internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels and service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure warehouse activities meet company standards for productivity, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement improvements when necessary.
- Manage warehouse space utilization and layout planning to maximize efficiency.
- Inventory Management & Control
- Ensure accuracy of inventory records through regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Sales teams for demand planning and replenishment.
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and support the Warehouse Supervisor and warehouse staff.
- Set performance goals and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure adequate staffing and training to meet operational demands.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance, Safety & Security
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures.
- Oversee warehouse security and loss prevention measures.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to audit requirements.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with internal departments and external logistics partners for timely deliveries and dispatch.
- Prepare and submit warehouse performance and inventory reports to management.
- Support process improvements and supply chain initiatives.
- Participate in meetings at the head office as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Experience in process improvement and warehouse optimization.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and reporting tools.
- Willing to work in Sta. Cruz, Manila and travel to Quezon City head office when required.
