Summary
The Warehouse Maintenance Staff ensures the warehouse remains clean, safe, organized, and operationally efficient. The role supports daily warehouse activities by performing cleaning and maintenance tasks, monitoring storage conditions, assisting with checking incoming and outgoing items, and supporting workplace safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- General Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors, racks, storage areas, loading/unloading zones, and common spaces.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any facility or equipment issues requiring repair.
- Properly use and store cleaning tools, materials, and maintenance equipment.
- Warehouse Safety and Compliance
- Regularly inspect fire extinguishers to ensure validity, accessibility, and proper condition.
- Identify, report, and help mitigate safety risks such as spills, damaged pallets, obstructed aisles, and unsafe storage.
- Support adherence to occupational safety policies and warehouse safety procedures.
- Incoming and Outgoing Item Support
- Assist in checking incoming materials for quantity accuracy, visible damage, and proper documentation.
- Help verify outgoing shipments to ensure correct items, quantities, and condition before dispatch.
- Promptly report discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the warehouse supervisor.
- Storage Monitoring and Organization
- Monitor and log the temperature and humidity readings of the thermometers installed in storage.
- Ensure goods are stored according to warehouse layout, labeling, and storage standards.
- Assist in organizing racks, shelves, and pallet positions to improve space efficiency and accessibility.
- Conduct routine checks to identify damaged, expired, or improperly stored items.
- General Warehouse Support
- Assist during inventory counts, audits, and stock organization activities.
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Perform other tasks related to warehouse operations as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills (Summary)
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior warehouse, maintenance, or general labor experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of basic safety practices
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and safety-conscious
