VP Project Finance - Renewables

Formative is partnering with a blue chip organization to appoint a Vice President for Project Finance to support the development and financing of large-scale renewable energy assets across the Philippines.

This role will sit at the heart of the investment and delivery platform, leading debt structuring, lender engagement, and project finance execution across solar, wind, hydro, and storage projects.

You will work closely with internal development, engineering, and leadership teams, as well as banks, DFIs, and financial partners, to bring projects from concept to financial close.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project finance and debt raising for renewable energy projects
• Structure bankable financing solutions including senior debt, mezzanine, and blended finance
• Manage relationships with local and international lenders, DFIs, and advisors
• Oversee financial modelling, sensitivities, and investment case preparation
• Drive due diligence processes through financial close
• Support commercial negotiations related to financing terms and documentation
• Provide market insight on debt markets, interest rate trends, and funding structures
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a best-in-class finance function

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years experience in project finance, debt advisory, infrastructure finance, or renewable energy financing
• Strong hands-on experience with financial modelling for project finance transactions
• Proven track record working with banks, lenders, and financial institutions in Southeast Asia (Philippines experience strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of renewable energy project economics and financing structures
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving development environment
