Your Role
As a VoIP Engineer, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain VoIP and unified communications systems.
Configure and support SIP, PBX, and call routing systems to ensure reliable voice services.
Monitor VoIP performance, troubleshoot call quality issues (latency, jitter, packet loss), and optimize network performance.
Integrate VoIP systems with other platforms such as CRM, helpdesk, or collaboration tools.
Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless communication services.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in VoIP, telecommunications, or network engineering roles
Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, H.323) and PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco, Avaya)
Experience troubleshooting VoIP and network-related issues
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, QoS, VLANs, routing, and switching)
Preferred Skills/expertise
Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone, RingCentral)
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent)
Familiarity with network monitoring and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Knowledge of security practices for VoIP environments
Experience working in enterprise or service provider environments
