Overview
The Visual Merchandising Leader is responsible for developing and driving Karofi's visual merchandising standards across company-owned stores, kiosks, modern trade, and other retail touchpoints.
This role translates brand campaigns, product priorities, and promotional messages into consistent and commercially effective in-store execution. The position leads POSM deployment, product display standards, promotional communication, and retail visibility to strengthen brand presence, improve the shopper experience, and support sell-through performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Visual Merchandising Standards & Guidelines- Develop and maintain visual merchandising standards, planograms, display guidelines, and execution toolkits for different retail formats.
- Define standards for product placement, hero SKU visibility, pricing communication, demo areas, signage, and customer navigation.
- Adapt display solutions to different store sizes and channel conditions while maintaining consistent brand identity.
- Regularly review and improve VM standards based on business priorities, shopper behavior, and market practices.
2. POSM Planning & Deployment- Lead the planning, production, allocation, and deployment of POSM, including posters, standees, banners, shelf communication, product displays, and permanent fixtures.
- Translate campaign requirements into clear POSM deployment plans by channel, store, location, and timeline.
- Coordinate installation, replacement, maintenance, and removal of POSM to ensure materials remain accurate, relevant, and in good condition.
- Monitor POSM inventory and deployment costs to minimize waste and ensure effective use of resources.
3. In-Store Visibility & Product Display- Ensure priority products, new launches, hero SKUs, and key product benefits receive strong and appropriate in-store visibility.
- Optimize product placement, display hierarchy, signage, and retail storytelling to improve shopper engagement and purchase consideration.
- Identify visibility gaps and recommend improvements to displays, fixtures, demo stations, and shopper flow.
- Support new store openings, renovations, relocations, and special retail projects with VM planning and setup.
4. Promotional Communication- Translate marketing campaigns and commercial promotions into clear and shopper-friendly in-store communication.
- Ensure promotional messages, pricing, product claims, and campaign visuals are accurate, updated, and consistently executed.
- Develop channel-specific communication solutions for malls, kiosks, modern trade, partner stores, and activations.
- Coordinate monthly and seasonal changeovers in line with Marketing and Sales calendars.
5. Retail Execution, Audit & Improvement- Conduct regular store visits and VM audits to assess POSM compliance, display quality, pricing accuracy, promotional visibility, and overall brand presentation.
- Establish execution checklists, photo-reporting standards, and VM compliance tracking by store and channel.
- Work with Sales, Retail Operations, store teams, and partners to resolve execution gaps within agreed timelines.
- Track key indicators such as deployment completion, display compliance, share of visibility, POSM condition, and promotional execution quality.
- Provide regular reports highlighting execution results, recurring issues, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
6. Team, Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination- Guide and train store teams, sales teams, promoters, and field personnel on visual merchandising standards and campaign execution.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Retail Operations, Product, and Supply Chain to ensure timely and consistent retail implementation.
- Manage agencies, fabricators, printers, installers, and logistics partners to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.
- Review samples, prototypes, production quality, and installation outcomes before approving large-scale deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Design, Retail Management, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Trade Marketing, or retail execution, with team or project leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience in POSM deployment, display standards, planograms, retail audits, and promotional communication.
- Strong visual judgment, commercial awareness, project coordination, and vendor management skills.
- Willing to travel regularly for store visits and retail execution.
- Experience in home appliances, consumer electronics, FMCG, or organized retail is preferred.
