The Visual Merchandise Officer for Beauty is responsible for ensuring the brand is consistently and creatively represented in all stores. This role turns brand guidelines into engaging window displays, in-store layouts, and campaign visuals that attract customers and boost sales. It combines design and management planning, supplier coordination, and performance tracking to deliver high quality, on-brand retail experiences that support marketing and business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Campaign and Visual Merchandising (VM) Management
- Interpret and implement visual concepts and design intent from principals/ HQ ensuring full brand compliance.
- Ideate and develop thematic VMs and storytelling displays in line with brand direction.
- Source, negotiate, and procure all materials when needed, balancing quality, cost, and deadlines.
- Implements and adapt window displays, in-store animation, and planograms according to brand guidelines, localizing execution based on door requirements and market trends.
- Manages timely rollouts of campaign VM updates across all stores (bi-monthly or as per campaign schedule).
- Oversee installation, quality checks, and replacement of damaged or outdated display elements.
- Maintain an uptodate inventory of local and imported VM and POSM materials; manage proper storage and disposal of obsolete items.
- Document all completed displays with highquality photos for internal and HQ reporting.
Planogram Management
- Ensure effective and accurate implementation of brand specific planograms and assortments across all stores.
- Monitor stock positioning and highlight hero SKUs, campaign, and seasonal items in hotspot zones to optimize visibility and sales.
- Prepare product spiels and storytelling guides for featured items to support store staff.
- Update store signages, fixtures, and displays per principal's directives.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Store Operations teams to align assortment.
Rebranding, Store Renovations, and Constructions
- Provide VM and branding expertise throughout rebranding projects, store renovations, and new store openings.
- Collaborate with principals, designers, store architects, contractors, and mall management to ensure store design reflects global standards and local requirements.
- Support layout planning, fixture and VM setup during store openings, popups, and remodels.
- Tap local suppliers or artists to incorporate brand's local touch and creative direction in store or campaign design.
- Ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption during renovations or rebranding rollouts.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure quality delivery within set schedule.
- Conduct post-renovation VM audits to guarantee brand compliance and readiness for operations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations to align VM activities with campaigns, events, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, PR and/or Training teams to ensure cohesive brand representation across consumer touchpoints.
- Work with global or principal teams for guideline interpretations, approvals, and adaptation of international Visual Merchandising standards.
- Share local market insights and customer behavior observations with principal teams.
Project Management and Reporting
- Develop and manage project timelines, VM calendars, and campaign rollout schedules.
- Maintain trackers for VM, renovations, and campaign rollouts.
- Monitor VM-related budgets, including sourcing, store works, and campaign setups, ensuring spend efficiency.
- Provide internal reports with photographic documentation, activity summaries, challenges, recommendations, and performance feedback.
Store Support and Maintenance
- Conduct regular store visits to audit VM standards, brand compliance, and product storytelling quality.
- Provide onsite support for VM setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting during events or transitions.
- Train store staff on VM standards, display upkeep, and maintenance routines.
- Offer feedback and improvement plans for stores not meeting VM guidelines.
- Ensure VM assets and fixtures are properly maintained, replenished, and stored efficiently.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support product launches, pop-ups, and brand events requiring strong VM impact.
- Coordinate with agencies and store teams to ensure proper and timely installation and removal of window elements; manage needed permits.
- Lead creative ideation for thematic installations aligned with marketing campaigns.
- Recommend eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices in all VM executions.
- Keep updated on retail design, beauty/lifestyle, and visual merchandising trends for continuous improvement.
- Observe competitor activities (new setups, popups, event executions) to gather insights.
Qualifications
Education: College degree preferably in Advertising, Fine Arts, Creative Multimedia or equivalent
