Position Summary
We are seeking a highly creative and versatile Visual Designer, Video & Brand Content professional to own and elevate the visual presence across brand, marketing, website, and educational content. This role is ideal for someone who can move fluidly between design, motion, video, web, and visual storytelling while working in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
The ideal candidate is product-minded, resourceful, and deeply comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude to accelerate creative execution. This is a design-first role with strong emphasis on producing polished visual assets, shaping brand aesthetics, and improving the customer experience through compelling visual communication.
Schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pasadena, California Time with a 1-hour unpaid break (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Use the company's products regularly to understand the user experience and identify opportunities to improve visual clarity and engagement.
- Create tutorials, walkthroughs, and educational content in static, animated, and video formats.
- Develop a steady stream of visual assets including templates, illustrations, UI mockups, social media graphics, and campaign content.
- Maintain, improve, and update the company website, including building new landing pages and shipping design enhancements.
- Help define and evolve the aesthetic direction of features, campaigns, and products to create a clear and compelling brand experience.
- Produce motion graphics, animation, and video content when it adds value to product education or marketing performance.
- Collaborate closely with the team to translate ideas, product intuition, and business priorities into visually effective work.
- Deliver high-quality creative work consistently in a scrappy, fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
- Maximize the use of AI-powered tools in design, content creation, and execution workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work across visual design, web design, video, animation, and design systems.
- Strong product sense and the ability to understand how visual design supports feature adoption and user understanding.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe After Effects, and other modern design and video production tools.
- Experience creating polished visual assets for digital platforms, websites, and marketing content.
- Comfortable receiving direction and feedback while also contributing thoughtful creative opinions and recommendations.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and effective in a high-intensity, startup-style environment.
- Strong sense of design quality, execution, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and ship creative work quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI image-generation tools, design tooling, animation software, and video editing platforms.
- Familiarity with technology product environments and UI/UX design.
- Strong awareness of design trends, creative best practices, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated passion for craft, aesthetics, and high-quality visual communication.
