The Virtual Account Opening Officer (VAO) is responsible for engaging Digital Account Opening (DAO) fallout clients and facilitating their end-to-end virtual account opening journey. The role focuses on lead reactivation, account onboarding, KYC compliance, application processing, and digital banking enrollment. The VAO ensures a seamless, compliant, and customer-centric onboarding experience while supporting the Bank's sales and growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and reactivate DAO fallout leads through approved communication channels.
- Assess client interest, eligibility, and readiness to proceed with account opening.
- Conduct timely follow-ups and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
- Facilitate virtual account opening applications and validate KYC and documentary requirements.
- Review submitted documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and Bank policies.
- Coordinate with clients to resolve incomplete or outstanding requirements within prescribed turnaround times.
- Conduct virtual account opening sessions in accordance with the Bank's service and compliance standards.
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for identified high-risk clients and coordinate with relevant units for escalation when necessary.
- Endorse completed applications to appropriate business or support units and monitor onboarding progress through account activation.
- Provide clients with timely updates, guidance, and support throughout the onboarding process.
- Promote enrollment in the Bank's digital platforms and educate clients on key features and benefits.
- Uphold the Bank's brand, ethical standards, and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or any related business course.
- Preferably with at least one (1) year of experience in Sales, Banking Operations, Customer Service, Telesales, Account Opening, or Client Relationship Management.
- Experience in customer onboarding, lead generation, lead conversion, or virtual client engagement is an advantage.
- Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with KYC, AML, and customer due diligence processes is an advantage.
- Willing to be assigned onsite at BPI Buendia Center.
