Job Description

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

JobRole: Video and Photo Editor (Real Estate)

Compensationrange: $1,500 - $2,000 AUD/month

Engagementtype: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian real estate photography and videography business based in Perth, specialising in high-quality property photography and video content. As the business grows, they are looking for a dedicated editor to support their post-production workload and help expand their creative capabilities.

There is also potential to support additional videographers within the team as the business expands, as well as contribute to content creation for a new real estate platform.

Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Photo & Video Editor to produce high-quality, natural-looking property photos and videos. You will manage the editing workflow from reviewing incoming footage to delivering completed projects, bringing creativity and attention to detail beyond automated editing tools. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who can work independently and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit approximately 1-2 real estate videos per day, delivering polished and professionally finished content
  • Edit property photographs, including colour correction, lighting adjustments, exposure and removal of unwanted elements
  • Apply creative judgement to produce natural-looking results, particularly when editing interior lighting and property footage
  • Review incoming shoots and uploaded content each morning and manage editing priorities
  • Organise, process and upload files before delivering completed projects to clients
  • Follow established editing preferences, workflows and brand guidelines
  • Communicate progress and flag any issues with footage or project requirements
  • Potentially take on additional editing work from other videographers as the business grows

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience in both photo and video editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent professional video editing software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent photo editing software
  • Good understanding of colour grading, colour correction, exposure and lighting
  • Strong creative eye and attention to detail, with the ability to produce natural-looking edits
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational and file management skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in real estate photography and videography
  • Experience working with Australian or US clients
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools and automated workflows
  • Experience with HDR photography, Dropbox and digital file delivery platforms

Candidates from adjacent industries such as architecture, interiors, commercial videography and hospitality are welcome to apply if their portfolio demonstrates the required quality and editing style.

Shortlisted candidates will complete a practical editing assessment using raw property footage and reference examples provided by the client. The assessment will cover both video and photo editing, with a focus on technical ability, creativity and overall output quality.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as Independent Contractor)
