Video Editor - Short-Form Content

Who we are

S-kin Studio Jewelryis a Melbourne-based jewellery brand known for collections that people genuinely obsess over - think anime-inspired drops, Lunar New Year capsules, Mid-Autumn bunny lockets, and collectible charm systems. Our aesthetic lives somewhere between Y2K nostalgia, Asian cultural heritage, and cute but make it a whole world. We move fast, we care deeply about visual identity, and our community feels everything we put out.

We're growing, and we're looking for a Video Editor who doesn't need to be told what good looks like.

Our current content looks something likethis. We're looking for an Editor that can edit our current content, AND have capability to take it to the next level tothis.

What you'll actually be doing

• Editing short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and paid social - this is the core of the role
• Cutting campaign launch videos and collection drops with pacing, music, and motion that feels intentional
• Taking raw footage, UGC, and product content and turning it into something that feels like S-kin - not just polished, but specificallyus
• Collaborating with our marketing and content team on creative direction - we want your instincts in the room, not just your timeline
• Occasionally supporting longer-form content (campaign recaps, brand storytelling)
• Delivering consistently against a content calendar with minimal hand-holding

What we're looking for

• 24 years of experience editing short-form content for a lifestyle, fashion, or consumer brand - agency or in-house both welcome
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro; comfortable using CapCut for quick social cuts when needed
• A genuine eye for pacing, music selection, and motion - you know the difference between a cut that lands and one that doesn't
• You've watched enough Reels and TikToks to know what stops a scroll, and your edits reflect that
• Experience with motion graphics or After Effects is a bonus - not required but valued
• Strong communication - you work independently across time zones without needing constant check-ins
• Bonus: familiarity with Asian cultural aesthetics, anime, or Y2K-leaning visual language

What this role is not

This is not a role for someone who needs a detailed brief for every asset. We'll give you direction and brand context - but we want an editor who can internalise the aesthetic and run with it. If your best work comes from having everything prescribed, this probably isn't the right fit.

Working setup

This is a fully remote role. Our team is based in Melbourne (AEST) and we work across time zones. We'd love overlap during core AEST business hours where possible, but we care more about output quality and reliability than clock-watching.
