Work Hours:

• First 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM ET, with a 1-hour unpaid break
• After 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM-3:00 AM ET, with a 1-hour unpaid break

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to support a fast-paced post-production team across multiple projects. This role will focus on overnight/off-hours post-production preparation, ensuring that footage, sequences, transcripts, and project files are organized and ready for editors when they begin their workday.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Iconik, is comfortable working independently with tight turnarounds, and takes pride in creating clean, accurately labeled, and well-organized project files that help editors work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize, tag, and manage video footage and other media assets using Iconik.
• Organize project files, bins, and media within Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Prepare and sync multicam sequences for editors.
• Create clean, well-organized stringouts based on project requirements.
• Pull, review, and organize transcripts for use in the editing process.
• Ensure footage, sequences, transcripts, and other project assets are properly labeled and easy for editors to navigate.
• Prepare Premiere projects and sequences for editors to begin paper cuts and full edits efficiently.
• Support multiple projects and adapt to different editing workflows and requirements.
• Complete assigned overnight tasks accurately and within tight deadlines.
• Work independently during overnight/off-hours while maintaining reliable communication and meeting established turnaround times.
• Perform quality checks to ensure sequences, footage, transcripts, and project organization are accurate and complete.
• Follow established post-production workflows, naming conventions, and file organization standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in video editing, post-production, assistant editing, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience using Iconik or similar media asset management platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with:
• Footage organization and tagging
• Premiere bin and project organization
• Multicam synchronization
• Stringout creation
• Transcript preparation and organization
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to create clean, well-labeled, and editor-ready Premiere sequences.
• Ability to accurately review and organize transcripts and media.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet tight turnaround times.
• Reliable and comfortable working overnight/off-hours schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and follow established post-production workflows and project-specific requirements.
