Video Editor (Offline and Online)

Job Summary:

The Offline & Online Video Editor is responsible for editing video content from raw footage through final delivery, ensuring high creative and technical standards across all projects. This role includes offline and online editing, finishing, and color grading using DaVinci Resolve. The position may also require attending shoots as an on-set post-production representative to ensure footage is captured in accordance with post-production requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Editing (Offline & online)

Perform offline editing: organize footage, create rough cuts, and refine story structure.

Execute online editing: final picture lock, finishing, exports, and delivery.

Edit content for multiple formats including social media, web, branded content, long-form video, and broadcast

Manage media, timelines, codecs, resolutions, and delivery specifications.

Assess feasibility of timelines / deadlines

2. Color Correction & Finishing

Perform basic to intermediate color correction using DaVinci Resolve.

Apply creative looks while maintaining technical and delivery standards.

Some knowledge of visual effects (VFX) workflows and basic compositing

3. On-set Post Supervision

Attend shoots as the post-production supervisor/ representative when required.

Ensure footage, formats, frame rates, and color profiles meet post-production requirements.

Advise post-production workflow best practices on set.

Coordinate with production teams to prevent post-production issues.

4. Collaboration & Workflow

Work closely with producers, directors, and creatives to achieve project goals.

Implement feedback efficiently and manage multiple revisions.

Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, and backups.

Meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment

Assess the feasibility of editing projects, including scope, timelines, and technical requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as an offline and online video editor.

Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and continuity.

Solid knowledge of codecs, frame rates, resolutions, and delivery formats.

Ability to oversee post-production requirements during live shoots.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience editing TV commercials and films is preferred but not a requirement

Experience with multi-camera and mixed-format workflows.

Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe Photoshop

Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for color correction and grading.

Experience delivering content for digital platforms.

Basic understanding of audio cleanup and sound design.
