Job Description

Primary Goal

Responsible for producing and managing video content in agency, corporate, or multi-brand settings. The role involves structured production workflows, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and adherence to brand standards across high-volume or campaign-based projects. This can also be a Podcast Editor as long as strategy and growth is not in the responsibilities. If that is required, the role would be a Podcast Producer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Production & Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos for marketing, social media, and website content.; Add transitions, effects, color correction, and audio enhancement to improve video quality.; Create short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form content for YouTube or company presentations.; Sync audio, overlay graphics, captions, or animations as needed
  • Content Planning & Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, social media, and design teams to plan video content aligned with brand goals.; Participate in storyboarding, scripting, and creative planning sessions.; Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and finalize video content
  • Multimedia & Graphics Integration: Integrate motion graphics, animations, and visual effects into videos.; Work with graphic designers to include branding elements and graphics in videos.; Design and animate lower-thirds, intros/outros, and titles when needed
  • Platform Optimization & Distribution: Format and export videos for various platforms (social media, website, email campaigns).; Optimize video content for platform-specific requirements (aspect ratio, length, resolution, file size).; Ensure videos meet accessibility standards (captions, audio clarity)
  • Asset Management & Organization: Maintain organized video files, project files, and libraries of graphics, stock footage, and audio.; Track versions and manage project backups to ensure efficient workflow
  • Trends & Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on video editing trends, tools, and techniques; Recommend creative solutions to increase engagement and viewer retention.; Experiment with new styles, transitions, and effects to enhance brand videos

Experience

  • 2+ years experience as a Video Editor for similar client type

Core Tools & Platforms (Required to have intermediate to advanced skills with at least one tool from each tool type

  • Collaboration: Google Workspace, Microsoft
  • Communication: Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, Loom
  • Graphic Design/Content Creation: Canva, Adobe Express, VistaCreate, Stencil
  • Manual Image & Graphic Editing Tools: Canva, Pixlr, Pixella, PicArt
  • Video Editing: CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, Vlog Now (VN), iMovie, Vimeo, Repurpose.io, OpusClip
  • AI Productivity: ChatGPT, Gemini
