About ADAPT

Working with over 3,000 C-level executives from Australia and New Zealand annually, ADAPT has cemented itself as a market leading Research, Advisory & Multi-Channel Events company in Australia.

Our vision is to make Australia and New Zealand more commercially competitive, differentiated, and productive on the global stage. We do this by working closely with the business and technology executive leaders of local enterprise and government organisations and equipping them with the knowledge, relationships, inspiration, and tools they need to gain advantage.

As ADAPT enters a new era of maturity and growth in the marketplace, we are looking for driven and passionate team members to help fuel the growth of ADAPT's Research & Advisory Practice – and to increase our subscriber base.

When you join ADAPT, you will set your career on track for outstanding achievement with a company that knows no limits. ADAPT has consistently achieved double-digit growth by steering clients toward the right decisions with locally focussed business and technology insights and community access they can't find anywhere else.

If you are persistent, smart, coachable, executive-savvy, and looking for your next great adventure, ADAPT could be the place for you.

About this role

Every year we interview thousands of CIOs, CISOs, CDOs, CFOs and business leaders, capturing the country's richest independent research into enterprise technology buying, digital transformation, AI, cyber security and leadership.

We're looking for a skilled Video Editor & Creative to take that raw footage and research and turn it into polished, professional video content across a huge range of formats - with the technical craft to make it look and sound right, and the creative instinct to make it land.

You'll take existing and newly captured footage and turn it into a wide range of finished assets — working to clear briefs, tight deadlines, and a high bar for technical quality. Strong colour grading, clean audio, and well-matched music and sound are non-negotiable, not nice-to-haves.

Alongside your own editing work, you'll also play a quality assurance role across the wider post-production team — reviewing other editors output, flagging issues, and helping maintain a consistent technical and creative standard across everything we put out.

What you will do

  • Edit and deliver high-quality video content across a range of formats, on brief and on deadline.
  • Apply professional colour grading, colour correction, audio cleanup, music selection and sound design to create polished final assets.
  • Adapt content for different channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, landing pages and email.
  • Create engaging motion graphics, kinetic typography and animated data visualisations that bring stories and insights to life.
  • Apply strong creative judgement to pacing, structure, storytelling and visual style.
  • Review content against ADAPT's creative, technical and brand standards, identifying issues before publication.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and help maintain quality standards across the post-production workflow.
  • Use AI tools to streamline editing workflows and enhance production quality without compromising craft.
  • Stay current with emerging video, social and AI trends, sharing new ideas and efficiencies with the team.
  • Manage projects, feedback, version control and deadlines using ClickUp and related workflow tools.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, content, digital and events teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Communicate proactively on project progress, priorities and potential risks.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Frame.io.
  • Strong experience in colour grading, colour correction, audio cleanup and sound design.
  • Ability to source and match music that enhances storytelling and brand tone.
  • Experience creating kinetic typography and motion-led video content.
  • Understanding of platform-specific video requirements across social, web and email channels.
  • Experience using project management tools such as ClickUp.
  • Practical experience integrating AI tools into post-production workflows.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality work across multiple formats.

Desirable

  • Experience reviewing and quality-checking other editors work.
  • Filming and cinematography capabilities.
  • Data visualisation and animation experience.
  • Experience working with research, consulting or technology-focused brands.

What we offer

In addition to an outstanding culture, team, and work environment, this ready-to-scale part of our business offers rapid advancement potential. ADAPT team members enjoy performance-related recognition and benefits, including:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Opportunities for professional growth and skill development
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Freedom, trust, and autonomy to make meaningful impact
