VICE PRESIDENT FOR SUPPLY CHAIN

JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President for Supply Chain provides strategic leadership and oversight of the company's end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and efficient sourcing, procurement, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution of food, beverages, packaging, equipment, and other operational requirements across the organization.

The role is responsible for developing supply chain strategies that support business growth, maintain product quality and availability, optimize costs, and strengthen supplier and operational partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

Develop and implement the company's overall supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
Provide strategic direction to Procurement, Purchasing, Warehousing, Logistics, and Distribution functions.
Establish supply chain policies, procedures, standards, and performance targets.
Lead initiatives focused on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Develop and manage the Supply Chain budget and ensure effective resource allocation.

Procurement & Supplier Management

Oversee strategic sourcing and procurement activities for food, beverage, packaging, equipment, and other business requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and supplier agreements.
Ensure competitive pricing, quality, availability, and continuity of supply.
Establish supplier performance standards and regularly evaluate supplier compliance and service levels.
Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing strategies to mitigate supply disruptions.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

Oversee inventory planning and control to ensure appropriate stock levels across stores, commissaries, warehouses, and other operating locations.
Develop strategies to minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, spoilage, and product wastage.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of food and non-food products.
Monitor inventory accuracy and establish controls to minimize losses and variances.

Logistics & Distribution

Oversee the efficient distribution of products and supplies to restaurants, commissaries, and other company locations.
Optimize delivery schedules, routes, transportation costs, and service levels.
Ensure timely delivery of critical supplies while maintaining product quality and integrity.
Establish logistics performance metrics and continuously improve distribution efficiency.

Food Quality & Compliance

Ensure suppliers and supply chain operations comply with company quality standards, food safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Finance, and other departments to address supply-related concerns.
Establish controls for product specifications, supplier quality, and food safety requirements.

Data, Analytics & Technology

Utilize supply chain data and analytics to improve forecasting, purchasing, inventory, and distribution decisions.
Monitor key supply chain metrics, including procurement savings, inventory turnover, stock availability, supplier performance, delivery performance, and logistics costs.
Lead the implementation and enhancement of supply chain systems, automation, and digital tools.

Risk Management & Business Continuity

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier dependency, price volatility, shortages, logistics disruptions, and other operational risks.
Develop contingency and business continuity plans for critical supplies.
Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and industry developments that may affect supply availability and costs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Culinary, Quality Assurance, and other business units to align supply chain strategies with operational requirements.
Partner with senior leadership in developing business plans, expansion strategies, and new store requirements.
Provide management with regular reports, insights, and recommendations regarding supply chain performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
MBA or relevant advanced degree is an advantage.
At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations, preferably within the F&B, retail, hospitality, or consumer goods industry.
Significant experience in a senior management or executive leadership role.
Strong background in strategic procurement, supplier management, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
Proven experience managing large teams, budgets, and multiple supply chain functions.
Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.
Experience with ERP, inventory management, procurement, or supply chain management systems.
Strong understanding of food and beverage supply chain operations is highly preferred.
