About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic VP for Finance and Accounting to lead large-scale Finance and Accounting Operations (FAO) engagements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing 500+ FTE accounting operations, driving performance across multiple process towers, and ensuring seamless delivery for global clientsparticularly in the US market.
This role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational excellence, client management, and people leadership, while bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to running FAO operations at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end Finance & Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) operations across multiple process areas such as Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Order to Cash (O2C).
- Oversee a large delivery team (500+ FTEs) ensuring consistent operational performance and service excellence.
- Partner closely with US-based clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment on SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide strategic leadership in scaling FAO operations, including team structuring, workforce planning, and performance governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in order management and collections to ensure smooth end-to-end accounting workflows.
- Monitor and manage operational metrics, financial performance, and client satisfaction scores.
- Mentor and develop leaders within the FAO team to build a strong talent pipeline for future growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting Outsourcing (FAO), with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large teams.
- Proven experience running FAO operations of 500+ FTEs with US clients.
- Strong exposure to Order Management and Collections processes within FAO.
- Hands-on experience in working with global outsourcing firms such as EXL, Cognizant (CG), Infosys, WNS, Concentrix, or similar.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating with Indian delivery teams and US-based clients.
- Analytical mindset with strong understanding of metrics, P&L impact, and operational governance.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with enthusiasm and ownership.
