Overview of the Job:

The Vice President for Commercial is a senior executive responsible for driving sustainable business growth through the strategic leadership of sales, marketing, and commercial operations. This role owns revenue generation, market expansion, customer acquisition, and brand positioning, ensuring alignment between commercial strategy and overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets
  • Identify new growth opportunities through market expansion, product offerings, partnerships, and channels
  • Own revenue forecasting, pipeline health, and performance tracking across all commercial functions

Sales Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and scale high-performing sales teams to exceed targets
  • Define sales strategy, structure, incentives, and KPIs aligned with company goals
  • Strengthen key account management and enterprise relationships
  • Oversee pricing, deal structuring, and contract negotiations

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Drive integrated marketing strategies that support demand generation, brand equity, and customer engagement
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market campaigns
  • Ensure marketing efforts are measurable, ROI-driven, and aligned with sales outcomes

Customer & Market Focus

  • Champion a customer-centric approach across the organization
  • Leverage market insights, customer data, and competitive intelligence to guide decisions
  • Strengthen customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams
  • Ensure alignment between commercial execution and operational capability
  • Contribute to overall business strategy as a member of the executive leadership team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, marketing, or commercial roles
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and market expansion
  • Strong experience leading large, cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in sales strategy, marketing execution, and commercial analytics
