Vice President – Finance

Overview:
We are currently handling a confidential search for a Vice President – Finance on behalf of an established real estate and property development group.
The role provides overall financial leadership across financial planning, accounting, treasury, taxation, project finance, and risk management. This executive will play a key role in supporting business growth, development initiatives, and long-term financial sustainability across the organization's property portfolio and expansion pipeline.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the successful candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to senior management, balancing commercial objectives with financial governance, operational discipline, and investment oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead the company's overall financial strategy aligned with corporate growth and development objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations on investments, acquisitions, project developments, and capital allocation.
- Support executive leadership in evaluating business opportunities, project feasibility, and long-term value creation initiatives.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor consolidated financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure accurate forecasting of cash flows, project costs, funding requirements, and profitability.
Accounting, Compliance & Governance
- Provide oversight across accounting, taxation, audit, and statutory reporting functions.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
Treasury & Funding Management
- Lead treasury operations including cash management, banking relationships, loan facilities, and debt structuring.
- Ensure sufficient liquidity to support ongoing projects and operational requirements.
- Support major financing and investment decisions.
Project Finance & Real Estate Financial Oversight
- Review project feasibility studies, pricing strategies, and investment returns.
- Oversee financial monitoring of development projects and commercial initiatives.
- Ensure disciplined cost controls and revenue management across projects.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Champion improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes.
- Drive initiatives that enhance financial transparency, efficiency, and decision-making capability.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor finance, accounting, treasury, and project finance teams.
- Build a high-performing finance organization through coaching, succession planning, and capability development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and financial discipline.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- MBA or other postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
Experience
- Progressive leadership experience across finance, accounting, treasury, financial planning, and corporate finance.
- Experience within real estate, property development, construction, or similarly project-driven industries is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated exposure to project finance, banking relationships, investment evaluation, and capital planning.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership to support strategic business and financial decisions.
