Vibro Mechanical Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and operation of vibro equipment and associated mechanical systems used in ground improvement projects.
• Lead and manage mechanical technicians, fitters, welders, and maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for vibro rigs, cranes, generators, pumps, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability, ensuring maximum availability and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and operational issues affecting ground improvement equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Operations Teams, and Equipment Departments to support project requirements and operational schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, lifting accessories, and tools to ensure they remain in safe and serviceable condition.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, inspection reports, and spare parts inventories.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and coordinate procurement requirements to avoid operational disruptions.
• Supervise equipment mobilization, demobilization, installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of workshop tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Train and mentor mechanical personnel to improve technical competency, productivity, and safety awareness.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, operational procedures, and project specifications.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with HSE personnel to promote a strong safety culture and ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure employees comply with all HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports and provide updates to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as required to support project and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Secondary School Certificate with a mechanical trade qualification or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and supervision within ground improvement, marine, dredging, construction, or heavy equipment industries.
• Strong knowledge of vibro equipment, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, pumps, cranes, generators, and construction machinery.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical maintenance teams and workshop personnel.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic equipment faults.
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and equipment reliability programs.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and equipment documentation.
• Experience in ground improvement, dredging, reclamation, or marine construction projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe maintenance practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and maintenance reporting systems.
